Slope Protection Net
Double-twisted hexagonal steel wire drapery that controls loose rock on slopes and cuttings, guiding debris safely to the toe.

Description
Double-twisted hexagonal steel wire drapery that controls loose rock on slopes and cuttings, guiding debris safely to the toe.
Rockfall Drapery Netting is a curtain of double-twisted hexagonal steel wire mesh hung over a rock face to manage loose and weathering rock. In a simple drapery system the mesh hangs free, intercepting falling fragments and guiding them down the face to a collection ditch at the toe; in a pinned system the mesh is anchored to the slope to hold the surface in place. It is a proven, economical method of protecting roads, railways and worksites below unstable rock.
The double-twisted mesh is strong and will not unravel if individual wires are damaged by impact or abrasion, and Galfan or PVC coatings give long life in exposed mountain environments. Drapery is comparatively quick and low-cost to install over large areas, conforms to irregular faces, and allows controlled, predictable rockfall behaviour. The system can be combined with cables, anchors and high-tensile panels for higher energy demands.
Mesh is supplied in 8 x 10 double-twisted hexagonal pattern with 2.7–3.0 mm wire, Galfan or PVC coated, in roll widths of 2 m, 3 m and 4 m and lengths cut to the slope height. Crest and intermediate cables, soil and rock anchors, lacing wire and fasteners are supplied as a kit. Heavier wire, secured-drapery anchoring and rope-reinforced panels are available for demanding sites.
Applied on highway and railway rock cuttings, open-pit and underground mine portals, quarry faces, hydro and dam abutments and scenic-route slopes. Used by infrastructure authorities, mining companies and geotechnical contractors to reduce rockfall risk to traffic, plant and personnel.
Zhongman produces double-twisted slope-protection mesh with controlled geometry and certified coatings, and supplies complete drapery kits including cables and anchors. We help size mesh, wire and anchoring to the slope and energy conditions, and deliver reliably to ports worldwide with knowledgeable English-language support.
