The Explosion-Proof Gabion Barrier is a prefabricated cellular defence unit built from welded steel wire mesh cells lined with a heavy-duty geotextile. Each unit ships flat and folded, then opens accordion-style on site and is filled with locally available sand, soil or gravel using standard earth-moving equipment. Once filled, the connected cells form a continuous mass wall that absorbs and dissipates the energy of blasts, fragments and small-arms fire, protecting personnel, equipment and infrastructure without the need for sandbags or concrete formwork.

Specifications & Options
Cells are manufactured from welded steel wire with a 76 x 76 mm aperture and wire diameters from 3.0 mm to 5.0 mm depending on the required strength and height. Standard unit heights are 0.6 m, 1.0 m, 1.4 m and 2.2 m, with cell footprints engineered to project requirements. Corrosion protection is available as heavy galvanizing, Galfan zinc-aluminium alloy or PVC coating. The geotextile liner, joining pins and assembly accessories are supplied as a complete kit, and units can be linked end to end or stacked for higher walls.
