The Sack Gabion is a cylindrical container of double-twisted hexagonal wire mesh that can be filled with rock and placed quickly, including underwater or in locations that are difficult to access. Because it can be filled off site and lifted into position, or filled in place, it is a versatile tool for emergency and rapid river-training works where conventional box gabions are impractical.

Specifications & Options
Sacks are produced from 8 x 10 double-twisted mesh in 2.2–2.7 mm wire, galvanized or galvanized plus PVC. Typical lengths are 2 m, 3 m and 4 m with diameters around 0.65 m or 0.95 m; other dimensions are available. Units arrive flat and folded with lacing wire supplied, ready for rapid filling and closure on site.
