Description
Premium stainless bar grating in 304 and 316 grades for severe corrosion, hygiene and high-temperature service. Welded, swage- or press-locked, bars 3/4" to 4" deep. First choice for food, pharma, chemical and marine decking.
Stainless steel bar grating delivers the highest level of corrosion resistance, hygiene and temperature tolerance in the grating range. Made from 304 or the more chemically resistant 316 alloy, it withstands acids, alkalis, chlorides, salt water and frequent washdown without coatings that can chip or wear away. The smooth, cleanable, non-shedding surface makes it the standard for food, beverage and pharmaceutical plants where sanitation is audited. Stainless grating is produced in welded, swage-locked and press-locked construction with bearing bars from 3/4" to 4" deep, covering light walkways through heavy platforms. Its strength at both high and cryogenic temperatures, plus an attractive bright finish, also makes it a favorite for architectural features and demanding industrial environments where ordinary galvanized steel would eventually corrode.
Panels use 304 or 316 stainless bearing bars 3/4" to 4" deep and 1/8" to 1/4" thick, joined by resistance welding, swaging or pressing on 19-W-4, 15-W-4 or 11-W-4 spacing. Grade 304 covers general corrosive duty; 316, with added molybdenum, resists chlorides, marine air and aggressive chemicals. Finishes range from pickled-and-passivated for maximum corrosion resistance to polished for hygienic, easy-clean surfaces and architectural appearance. Stainless banding seals bar ends, and matching stainless fasteners and clips prevent galvanic problems. Standard 24" and 36" panels run to 288" long. Because stainless needs no galvanizing, panels ship ready to use with a consistent finish inside and out, and the alloy's corrosion resistance extends to cut edges, welds and fixings throughout the installation.
Stainless grating combines structural load capacity with outstanding corrosion and temperature performance. Load tables by bearing-bar size and span guide selection just as with carbon steel, while 304/316 chemistry meets corrosion specifications that coated steel cannot. The non-porous, cleanable surface supports food-grade and pharmaceutical hygiene standards and resists bacterial buildup. Open area of 20% to 89% ensures rapid drainage during washdown. Serrated tops add the slip resistance required for worker safety, and close-mesh ADA layouts serve pedestrian areas. Pickling and passivation restore the protective oxide film after fabrication for full corrosion resistance, and material is supplied with mill certificates confirming grade and composition. Stainless also performs reliably at elevated and very low temperatures, suiting ovens, freezers and process areas outside the range of coated carbon steel.
Stainless steel grating is specified wherever corrosion, hygiene or temperature rule out coated steel: food and beverage processing, breweries, dairies, pharmaceutical and biotech plants, and commercial kitchens. Its 316 grade excels in chemical processing, pulp and paper, desalination, offshore platforms and coastal marine structures exposed to chlorides and salt spray. Water and wastewater treatment works use stainless for screens, walkways and channel covers in constantly wet, chemically active conditions. The bright, clean finish also makes it a choice for architectural walkways, facades and feature flooring. In all these settings, serrated stainless panels provide safe footing on wet floors, while the alloy's durability eliminates rust streaking and coating maintenance, giving the lowest life-cycle cost in the harshest, most hygiene-sensitive environments.
Zhongman fabricates stainless steel bar grating in 304 and 316 to your construction type, bearing-bar depth, spacing and finish, from pickled-and-passivated to polished. We control welding and forming to preserve corrosion resistance, then passivate panels and inspect finish, joints and dimensions before shipment. Mill test certificates confirm alloy grade and composition for your quality records, and we supply matching stainless banding, stair treads, channel covers, clips and fasteners for fully corrosion-proof installations. Custom cutouts and panel sizes are made to drawing, and panels are protected during crating to keep finishes pristine for export delivery. With deep experience in stainless wire mesh and grating, Zhongman delivers hygienic, corrosion-proof decking at competitive factory pricing with reliable lead times and expert technical support for the most demanding projects.
