Description
Custom bar grating trench and drain covers sized to channel width, with banded edges, lift handles, frames and locks. Bars 3/4" to 4" deep in galvanized steel, aluminum or stainless. Rated from pedestrian to vehicular wheel loads.
Trench and drain grating is bar grating fabricated specifically to cover linear channels, drains, sumps and gutters. Each cover is cut to the exact channel width and length, banded on all edges so no bar ends are exposed, and finished with lift handles, hinge points or locking bolts as required for safe, secure access. The covers let water flow freely into the channel while supporting the loads imposed above, whether foot traffic, carts or vehicle wheels. Available in welded, swage-locked and press-locked construction and in galvanized steel, aluminum or stainless, trench grating is engineered for drainage capacity and load class together. Bearing bars from 3/4" to 4" deep allow the same product to serve light pedestrian gutters or heavy-duty trafficked driveway and dock drains.
Covers are made from bearing bars 3/4" to 4" deep and 1/8" to 1/4" thick, on 19-W-4, 15-W-4 or 11-W-4 spacing, with close-mesh layouts where small openings are needed for heels or debris control. All four sides are banded with flat bar, and covers can include lift handles, hinge tabs, hold-down bolts or locking clips so they stay secure under traffic yet remove easily for cleaning. Matching frames or angle seats can be supplied to set into concrete and carry the cover edges. Carbon-steel covers are hot-dip galvanized for wet, corrosive drain service; aluminum offers light, easy-to-lift covers; stainless suits chemical and hygienic channels. Standard widths and lengths are cut to your channel, and serrated tops add anti-slip safety on trafficked covers.
Trench grating is selected by both hydraulic open area and load class. Open area of 20% to 89% governs how quickly the channel drains, while bearing-bar depth and spacing set the cover's load rating, from pedestrian to forklift and vehicular wheel loads, per published load tables. For trafficked locations, deeper bars and tighter spacing carry concentrated wheel loads, and hold-downs prevent covers lifting or rattling under traffic. Where heels, small debris or ADA pedestrian access are concerns, close-mesh patterns limit gap width. Serrated surfaces meet slip-resistance needs on walkable covers. Galvanizing protects steel covers against constant moisture, and aluminum or stainless handles corrosive effluent and washdown. Frames and locking devices are sized to keep covers stable, secure and safe over the channel throughout their service life.
Trench and drain grating covers process drains, floor channels, gutters, sumps and surface-water trenches across industrial, commercial and municipal sites. Light pedestrian and close-mesh covers serve plazas, walkways, pool surrounds and building entrances where heel safety and appearance matter. Heavy-duty galvanized covers with deep bars take forklift and truck wheel loads at loading docks, warehouses, driveways, car parks and yards. Stainless covers handle aggressive effluent in food, chemical and pharmaceutical plants and in washdown areas, while aluminum covers suit locations where staff must lift them often for cleaning. Water-treatment channels, parking-garage drains, factory floor trenches and roadway gutters all rely on banded, load-rated grating covers that drain efficiently, resist corrosion and stay safely in place under their rated traffic.
Zhongman fabricates trench and drain grating covers to your exact channel dimensions and load class, fully banded with the handles, hinges, hold-downs, locking bolts and frames you specify. We supply welded, swage-locked or press-locked covers in galvanized steel, aluminum or stainless, with plain, serrated or close-mesh tops to match traffic, drainage and safety needs. Every cover is checked for fit, banding, hardware and finish before galvanizing and crating, and we provide load tables, galvanizing certificates and material certificates for your records. Matching frames are made to set into concrete for a flush, secure installation. With extensive grating fabrication and export experience, Zhongman delivers durable, well-fitting, load-rated trench and drain covers at competitive factory pricing with dependable lead times and responsive technical support from inquiry to delivery.
