Description
Perforated metal that is roller-embossed into raised three-dimensional textures, adding stiffness, anti-slip grip and dramatic shadow play for flooring, treads and statement facades.
Embossed perforated metal takes a flat perforated sheet and passes it through patterned rollers that press a three-dimensional relief into the surface. The result is a sheet that is simultaneously perforated and textured, gaining both visual depth and mechanical performance. Zhongman embosses patterns such as raised dimples, pyramids, woven-look ridges and linear corrugations into perforated stock of aluminum, galvanized and stainless steel. The combination is functional, not just decorative: the embossing dramatically increases bending stiffness for a given gauge, and raised textures provide grip underfoot. Holes typically run 3-12 mm with emboss depths of 1-5 mm. This dual-process product bridges perforated screening and structural plate, serving applications where flat perforated sheet would be too weak or too slippery.
Embossing solves two problems at once. First, stiffness: the three-dimensional relief acts like miniature corrugations, so an embossed perforated panel resists deflection far better than a flat sheet of the same thickness, letting you use lighter, cheaper gauge over a given span. Second, grip and safety: raised textures give anti-slip traction on stair treads, walkways and ramps even when wet or oily, while the perforations drain liquid away. Visually, the relief catches light and casts shifting shadows, giving facades a rich, tactile appearance that flat perforation cannot match. The embossing also masks minor handling marks and fingerprints, keeping panels looking clean. Aluminum and stainless versions add corrosion resistance for outdoor and industrial duty.
Base sheets run 0.8-3 mm thick in aluminum 5052, galvanized steel, cold-rolled steel or stainless 304, perforated with round or slotted holes from 3 mm to 12 mm at 20-45% open area. Emboss patterns include round dimple, diamond/pyramid, linear rib and custom textures, with relief depths of 1-5 mm chosen to balance stiffness against open area. Heavier anti-slip flooring grades combine smaller holes with aggressive raised texture; decorative facade grades use bolder holes with subtle relief. Finishes include mill, galvanized, anodized and powder coat. We supply flat panels, formed treads with nosing, and folded sections ready to install. Tell us the load span and the slip-resistance or appearance goal and we recommend the hole-and-emboss combination.
Embossed perforated metal excels where strength, drainage and grip must coexist. Industrial facilities use it for anti-slip mezzanine flooring, stair treads, walkway gratings and machine platforms that must drain coolant or water while staying safe underfoot. Transport applications include ramps, step plates and vehicle flooring. Architecturally, the textured relief makes a striking sunshade, balustrade infill or feature cladding that changes appearance with the angle of the sun. The added stiffness lets architects span panels further with fewer fixings, reducing framing cost. Retail and display sectors use small embossed panels for tactile, premium-feeling fixtures. Wherever flat perforated sheet would flex too much or feel too slippery, the embossed version upgrades the performance.
Zhongman runs perforating and embossing as a combined in-house process, so we control how the hole pattern and the relief interact, something suppliers who outsource one step cannot match. We help customers pick the right hole size, open area and emboss depth for their load span and slip requirement, and we can fabricate finished treads with integrated nosings and folded edges ready to bolt in. Aluminum and stainless options are finished for outdoor and corrosive service, and decorative grades are coated without flattening the texture. We provide load and open-area data and package formed panels to arrive undented. From safety flooring orders to designer facade panels, our dual capability delivers a stronger, safer, more striking perforated product.
