Perforated metal filter screens are engineered for the specific job of separation and filtration, where aperture accuracy matters more than appearance. Zhongman produces fine-perforated screens primarily in stainless steel 304 and corrosion-resistant 316L, with apertures from 0.5 mm up to 5 mm punched to tight tolerance. These screens act as standalone sieves for particle grading, as filter elements for liquids and gases, and very often as the rigid support layer that holds delicate fine wire mesh flat against pressure. Unlike woven mesh, a perforated screen offers a self-supporting, dimensionally stable surface that can be rolled into cylinders, pressed into baskets or fabricated into filter cartridges without distorting its open area.

Specifications & Options

Fine apertures from 0.5 mm to 5 mm are available in round or square format, with open area typically 20-50% depending on the strength required. Material is most often stainless 304 for general filtration or 316L where corrosion resistance is critical; galvanized steel, aluminum and brass serve specific industries. Thickness ranges 0.5-3 mm. We supply flat screens, pre-rolled cylinders, perforated tubes for filter cartridges, and pressed basket forms, with welded seams and end caps to drawing. Finishes include passivation and electropolishing for hygienic and corrosive duty. Screens can be combined with woven wire mesh as a sandwich or sintered laminate for very fine ratings. Replacement filter elements are matched from existing samples or drawings.
