Description

Product Introduction

Heavy-duty mining screen mesh for scalping, grading and dewatering crushed rock and ore. Woven from manganese and 65Mn high-carbon steel in lock-crimp and self-cleaning patterns with reinforced edges for maximum abrasion life.

Overview

Mining screen mesh is the heavyweight of the screening family, designed to survive the brutal abrasion and impact of crushed rock, ore and mineral processing. While general vibrating-screen cloth handles moderate duty, mining screens use thicker, harder wires and reinforced construction to scalp run-of-mine material and grade abrasive ore at high tonnage. We weave it from manganese steel for extreme abrasion resistance and 65Mn high-carbon spring steel for fatigue endurance, in lock-crimp, double-crimp and self-cleaning configurations. Apertures span from 1 mm fine grading to 150 mm coarse scalping, with wire diameters up to 20 mm. Edges are hooked and reinforced for deck tensioning. This media maximizes wear life and throughput in quarries, hard-rock mines and aggregate plants.

Construction & Materials

Mining screens are built for survival. Lock-crimp construction grips wire intersections so apertures hold under pounding rock; double-crimp adds stability for heavy panels; self-cleaning piano-wire and slotted designs flex to shed near-size and sticky material. Manganese steel work-hardens under impact for outstanding abrasion life on the hardest ores, while 65Mn high-carbon spring steel provides the fatigue resistance vibrating decks demand. Wire diameters from 2 mm to 20 mm and apertures from 1 mm to 150 mm cover the full mining size range. Selvages are reinforced with flat bar, double wires or polyurethane strips, and edges are bent into hooks matched to the screen deck. Panels are cut to exact deck dimensions for tight, vibration-stable mounting.

Key Features & Advantages

The primary advantage of mining screen mesh is maximum wear life under extreme abrasion, cutting downtime and replacement cost per ton screened. Manganese steel's work-hardening surface resists gouging by hard ore, while the high-carbon spring temper endures millions of vibration cycles without fatigue cracking. Lock-crimp and double-crimp weaves keep apertures accurate despite constant impact, preserving sizing accuracy through panel life. Self-cleaning and slotted patterns combat blinding and pegging from wet, sticky or near-size material, sustaining open area and throughput. Reinforced selvages prevent edge tearing where stress concentrates, the most common failure point. Heavy hooked edges allow firm tensioning that keeps the surface live and self-cleaning. Together these features deliver dependable high-tonnage screening in the most punishing plants.

Applications

Mining screen mesh classifies material throughout the extractive chain. Primary scalping screens with coarse heavy-wire panels remove oversize from run-of-mine rock ahead of crushing. Secondary and tertiary decks grade crushed ore into milling-ready fractions. Dewatering screens drain water from sand, coal and tailings. Hard-rock mines, coal preparation plants, iron-ore and copper operations, and quarries all rely on this media. Self-cleaning panels handle clay-bound and wet feeds that blind ordinary screens. The mesh also serves construction-and-demolition recycling, slag processing and frac-sand sizing. It fits circular, linear and high-frequency vibrating screens, banana screens and trommels, with panel profiles tailored to each machine. Custom hook angles and aperture shapes are produced for every major deck design.

Quality & Customization

Every mining panel is engineered to the feed's abrasiveness, the required cut size and the machine's deck geometry, working from drawings or worn sample panels. We select manganese or high-carbon spring steel, crimp style, wire gauge and selvage reinforcement to maximize wear life at the target tonnage. Aperture accuracy is sampled across each panel and steel hardness verified. We supply hooked tensioned panels, self-cleaning and piano-wire screens, slotted and polyurethane-edged designs, and pre-framed modular decks. Galvanizing is available for wet duty. With mill certificates, wear-rate guidance and fast reorder service keyed to your screen model, we keep mining and aggregate plants producing with screening media matched precisely to their material and throughput.
